The Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. – Central Luzon Region Librarians Council (PLAI- CeLRLC) is set to conduct its 3rd Regional Conference entitled “Disaster Management, Risk Reduction and Recovery Plan for Libraries” on July 3- 4, 2014 at the Ephatha Development Center, Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
This seminar- workshop aims to:
1. Increase level of awareness of librarians to the threats and impact of hazards, risks and vulnerabilities brought about by climate change;
2. Equip participants with the necessary skills to cope with the negative impact of natural disasters to libraries and information centers; and
3. Enable knowledge workers to be proactive in managing potential risks to the library collection and resources.
We have invited experts in the field to be our Resource Speakers. A seminar fee of Php. 2,500.00 for live-in participants and P 2,300.00 for live-outs will be charged to cover overnight accommodation (for stay- in guests), meals and snacks, kit for the workshop, and certificate. Registration starts at 7:00 o’clock in the morning.
