Today, the National Book Foundation revealed the longlist for the 2026 National Book Award in Poetry. Ten titles earned a place on the list from a pool of 285 books submitted by their publishers. The poetry jury for this year consists of Rob Arnold, Aracelis Girmay (Chair), Jon Pineda, Roger Reeves, and Rosanna Warren.
The finalists across all categories are scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, October 6, with the winners to be unveiled at the 77th National Book Awards Ceremony on November 18.
